Sushi Tei’s Anniversary Menu raises SGD$230,209 within one month
Proceeds will be donated to Children’s Cancer Foundation and Home Nursing Foundation
Singapore, 14 October 2009 – Sushi Tei announced today that it has successfully raised SGD$230,209 in September as part of its 15th Year Anniversary celebration. Proceeds collected from the five-item Anniversary Menu will go to Sushi Tei’s adopted charities, Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) and Home Nursing Foundation (HNF).
“We are delighted that the final amount raised has actually exceeded our original target of SGD$150,000. On behalf of our appointed charities, we would like to thank our customers who supported this charity initiative,” said Daniel Ong Sushi Tei’s director.
Sushi Tei adopted Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) and Home Nursing Foundation (HNF) as its charity beneficiaries. Children Cancer Foundation targets to improve the lives of children with cancer, while Home Nursing Foundation focuses on providing healthcare assistance for the elderly who require home nursing.
Additionally, Sushi Tei recently opened a new restaurant at City Square Mall in early October. With interiors designed by a renowned Japanese design house, the restaurant's ambience and lighting were specially selected to create a warm and chic environment suitable for both family gatherings and corporate dining.
As part of its expansion plans, Sushi Tei will also officially open on 22nd October new and bigger premises at Holland V Shopping Centre. The new restaurant will feature a larger restaurant interior with an extended seating capacity as well as an expanded alfresco dining area.
Sushi Tei takes great care in maintaining its high standards of service and consistently serving authentic Japanese food.
Sushi Tei’s new promotion menu is themed “Autumn Hokkaido Fair” held in conjunction with Japan's autumn season. Menu highlights include Hokkai Kaisen Don (Scallop, Squid, Salmon & Ikura on Sushi Rice), Zuwai Shabu Shabu Nabe (Zuwai Crab, Prawn & Scallop Shabu Shabu Hot Pot) and Sanma Sashimi & Sushi Set (Pacific Saury Sashimi & Sushi Set). Sanma (Pacific Saury) is at its best during the autumn season, as its fats contents are at its highest. Amongst its health benefits, the Sanma fish helps lower cholesterol and blood pressure and is high in vitamin D which strengthens bones and teeth. It is an ideal food for both growing children and adults. As for the desserts, customers can indulge over the yummy Hokkaido Nama Chocolate Ice Cream and Hokkaido Yubari Melon Ice Cream.
