Mall organizes Spring to L1FE interactive marketing campaign to attract trendy urbanites
Singapore, 14 May 2009 – Tampines 1, the latest retail haven for urbanites living in the East, will roll out an extensive promotion campaign one month after opening its doors to the public. Starting from 15 May 2009, shoppers who spend $50* at Tampines 1 will get a chance to win a trip for two to London to attend London Fashion Week. Additionally, Tampines 1 will offer the winner a sponsored shopping spree at Topshop/Topman in London.
To encourage shoppers’ spending, Tampines 1 is offering attractive prizes in its “Spring to L1FE” lucky draw promotion that will run from 15 May to 28 June 2009. Prizes up for grabs are worth more than $35,000, including the grand prize: An all expenses paid trip for two to London Fashion Week, where the winner gets a free makeover and a sponsored shopping spree at Topshop/Topman in London.
The first 7,000 shoppers who spend a minimum $50* at Tampines 1 can also walk away with a “Magic Bean” which will spring quickly into a plant with little water and sunlight. Mystery prizes will appear on the plants where 111 shoppers stand a chance to redeem AsiaMalls shopping vouchers of up to $1,000 when their plant unfolds its buds.
From 15 May onwards, shoppers who spend a minimum of $150* can redeem a foldable limited edition UNIQLO bag, which will definitely be on the “It” list for all fashionistas.
Tampines 1 will be organizing interactive activities for shoppers at the mall as part of its Spring to L1fe marketing campaign to target trendy urbanites who are web savvy. At
www.springtolife.sg, players are invited to create their own avatars and be able to “Spring to L1fe” off trampolines before recording their highest jumps. The top scorer for each week will win a $50 AsiaMalls shopping voucher while the player with the highest successful referrals will win a Sony Vaio Pocket PC worth $1,699.
Over the next two weekends, (16, 17, 23 and 24 May), Tampines 1 will invite shoppers to participate in a “Go Green & Grin” movement. A photo booth will be set up at the atrium where shoppers can “go green” and have photos of themselves with digitally enhanced green cheeks. The photos will be featured in a photo collage wall and will be submitted for Tampines 1’s Press Advertisement Audition. Shoppers whose pictures are selected will be featured in the mall’s press advertisement will receive $50 AsiaMalls vouchers.
On 16 and 17 May between 3pm to 6 pm, shoppers can take part in a “Bounce and Trounce” challenge where they have complete tasks such as sending an SMS or putting on a pair of pants while jumping on a trampoline.
On 23 and 24 May, between 3pm to 6pm, there will be a “Stick-On-It” Challenge where shoppers can put on a Velcro suit and have to jump as high as they can to stick themselves on the highest point possible on the Tampines 1 Velcro wall.
